New Nursing Leaders

Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center welcomes our new nursing leaders:  Tori Vieira, RN, BSN and Chrissy Crawford, RN, BSN, CMSRN. They will lead the Women’s Health Center and medical/surgical and oncology departments.

Tori Vieira HeadshotTori Vieira, RN, BSN will serve as the new director of the Women’s Health Center, leading the labor and delivery, postpartum and neonatal intensive care unit. Tori brings 13 years of nursing experience which includes her role as director of maternal child health and pediatric services. In addition, she has also served as a staff nurse and leader overseeing women’s health.  Furthermore, her clinical awards include: Maternal Child Health Blue Distinction Plus, Healthgrades’ 5-Star recipient for c-section delivery, and the IBCLC Care Award. In addition, Tori also earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Grand Canyon University.

Chrissy Crawford HeadshotChrissy Crawford, RN, BSN, CMSRN will lead the new medical/surgical and oncology units at Sierra Medical Center. She has ten years of nursing experience and most as a supervisor overseeing surgical services at a local hospital. In this role she successfully led a team to earn Healthgrades 5-star recipient status for back surgery, spinal fusion, colorectal surgery and bariatric surgery. In addition, her department is in the top five percent of the nation for overall orthopedic services. Chrissy has been awarded nurse leader of the year twice, along with several nominations for Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement. Chrissy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Nevada.  In addition, she recently completed a certification in nurse leadership from Duke University.
