New Prenatal Education Classes for Labor and Delivery Patients

Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center introduces prenatal education classes for labor and delivery patients. These classes are hosted by experienced local nurses and cover various topics, including birth mapping and what to expect when in labor.

“Oftentimes, prenatal classes are taught with a rigid curriculum in place,” said Hillary Simpson, RNC-OB, labor and delivery nurse at Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center. “The great thing about our prenatal education classes is that each class is taught by an experienced nurse in that topic and moms are able to choose which topics they need more information about. This helps to ensure a targeted learning experience for everyone depending on their experiences.”

Classes can accommodate up to five expecting moms plus a support person to ensure adequate time for questions and learning.
