Sierra Medical Center offers comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services that are dedicated to helping patients reach their maximum potential after a serious illness, injury or surgery.

Our therapists provide advanced inpatient care for patients with various conditions, such as stroke, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders, orthopedic surgeries, and trauma related injuries.

Your treatment will be tailored to meet your specific needs. Our patient rooms are private and therapy sessions are one-on-one with a therapist. This helps us give personalized attention to our patients with the goal of improving quality of life.

We also offer therapeutic services that help you regain as much independence as possible in order to discharge to the most appropriate setting. Our therapists will work with you to develop goals that fit your lifestyle and include family training and education.

Occupational therapy

Our Occupational Therapists train patients so they can improve activities of daily living. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, work activities, home management, leisure activities and community activities. We do this by focusing on improving sensory motor skills, cognitive integration, psycho-social skills and visual/perceptual impairment remediation.

Physical therapy

Our Physical Therapists offer a thorough evaluation of your functional abilities.  They will work with you in the areas of bed mobility, ambulation, balance, wheelchair mobility, use of an assistive device, and determining the most appropriate discharge disposition.

Speech therapy

Our Speech and Language Pathologists evaluate disorders of speech, voice, language, cognition, memory and swallowing. This includes aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, voice disorders and laryngectomy. Our therapists work with specialists from neurology, ENT, radiology and general medicine to provide advanced care.
